Illegal Cigarettes

Dear Residents, 

I hope you are all well from all of us on the Neighbourhood Task Force.

A quick message to share some good work the team has conducted over the last week.

On 17/11/2025 Police Officers happened to be in the area and witnessed the sale of cigarettes which were not packaged correctly and were being sold significantly under the RRP. Officers arrested 2 males for tax evasion offences and trademark offences. Subsequent searches led to police locating 680 packets of counterfeit cigarettes and 121 pouches of tobacco.

The following day a third male was also arrested in relation to the same offences. 

All suspects have been bailed pending further investigation.
